Storytime Descriptions

We offer Storytimes for children newborn and up. Some are drop-in programs; others require registration. Download our current Storytime brochure (PDF). Our online calendar includes Storytime schedules for kids, tweens, teens and families this month.

Lapsit Storytime: For newborn to 18 months with a caregiver. Nurture a love for books early by bringing baby for simple stories, rhymes, music, and play. We provide an enriching and fun experience for your little one at this lively program.

All Together Storytime: For ages 2–6 with an adult; preschoolers with an adult. Enjoy a fun-filled half hour of stories and songs for the whole family. Particularly good for families and groups with multi-age children.

Toddler Storytime: For 18 months to 36 months with a caregiver; siblings welcome. Cultivate a love for the library during this interactive storytime full of books, finger plays, felt stories, movement and music. Develop pre-literacy skills and have fun with your toddler at the same time.

Diez Deditos: For ages 2–6 with an adult; older siblings welcome. This program is a bilingual storytime the whole family can enjoy! It features stories, songs, and activities for those learning English or Spanish. / Edades 2–6 con un adulto. Este programa es una hora de cuento bilingüe para toda la familia presentada en español e inglés. Hay cuentos, cantas, y actividades para los que están aprendiendo cualquier lengua.

Family Storytime: For children of all ages; preschoolers with an adult. Enjoy a fun-filled half-hour of stories and songs for the whole family. Particularly good for families and groups with multiple-ages.

Sensory Storytime: For ages 2–6 with a caregiver. A monthly storytime open to all but planned especially for those with sensory integration issues. If your child has difficulty sitting through other Storytimes, this program may be just right! We will engage the senses through music, stories, and activities including a 15-minute multi-sensory playtime.
