Q: Who can participate in the Adult Summer Reading program?
A: Adults, age 18 and UP, who have a valid Fountaindale Public Library card may register for the program.
Q: What can I read during my reading time?
A: Books and Audio Books. Please limit your selection to adult or young adult titles.
Q: How do I log my reading time?
A: This can be done two ways. 1) You can log your reading time online. 2) Pick up book notes at the Reader’s Advisory Desk or Reference desk and fill them out. There will be a drop box at each desk for you to submit them.
Q: I created an account, now what?
A: Once you created an account, you can sign in with your username and password or your library card number. Then you click on Add/View Log. Type in the title and author of the book. You can also submit a review. You can only log one book at a time.
Q: How do I complete the program?
A: You must read 15 books or listen to 15 audiobooks to complete the program and be eligible for the grand prize drawing. The grand prize is an e-reader. Additionally, submitting a book review will enter you into a separate drawing.
Q: How do I enter the E-reader drawing?
A: You must complete the program by reading 15 books or listening to 15 audiobooks. You are automatically entered into the prize drawings when you log your books online. If you choose to keep a paper record of your reading time, please see a staff member for assistance in logging your book titles.
Q: Why can’t I see my review?
A: All reviews are submitted to staff for approval. The approval process may take a day or two, so please be patient. To ensure that your review is approved, please keep your language G-rated.
