The library has acquired four Sony E-Readers and a number of Kobo readers for patrons to check out. Check out is on a first-come, first-served basis and is for Fountaindale Library card holders. A $25.00 refundable deposit is required. Readers can be checked out for two weeks (14 days). There is a $5.00 per day overdue fee that will be deducted from the deposit if a reader is not returned on time. Deposits will also not be returned if the reader is returned damaged or with items missing.

The library has the following services available to download e-content:

Popular fiction and non-fiction, including public domain e-books.

Overdrive now has public domain e-book content available. These are different from other e-books in that there is no checkout period and an unlimited number of people can download the same e-book. You also do not need a Fountaindale library card to check out these books. Over 15,000 public domain titles are available!

Download our Overdrive tutorial by clicking here: Downloading_Books_from_Overdrive.pdf
The document also contains instructions on dowloading Adobe Digital Editions software that allows you to transfer e-books to your e-book reader.

You can also check out this CNET video on getting the Overdrive Media Console software and downloading e-books: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20049244-1/how-to-download-e-books-from-your-local-library/ It is not specific to Fountaindale, but provides a good overview of the process.

Here is a video tutorial on using Overdrive:

2) This will take you to the EbscoHost database selection page. Click on EbscoHost Research Databases.

3) From the next page, you can select the Ebook collection.

You will need to create a new username and password, and any favorites or notes you created in NetLibrary will NOT transfer to the new interface.

Click on OneClickDigital to go to the OneClickDigital website.

Click here for a tutorial packet on setting up your OneClickDigital account, downloading and installing the OneClickDigital Media Manager, and instructions on searching OneClickDigital and checking out items from the OneClickDigital service.
