Beyond Four Walls
Outreach Services brings library materials and services to residents of the Fountaindale Public Library District who are unable to come to the library. The Bookmobile is the mobile branch of the Fountaindale Public Library. The Bookmobile makes regular visits to Bolingbrook schools, neighborhoods, parks, senior centers including Heritage Woods, Meadowbrook Manor, McKenzie Falls, Greenleaf, and the Levy Center. Please see the Bookmobile schedule for dates and times. The Bookmobile has all types of library materials for children, teens, and adults.
School Services provides visits to Bolingbrook preschools and elementary schools. "The Battle of the Library Cards" is an annual library card registration event for elementary schools. Students enrolled in grades K-5 "battle" to see which school can gather the most library card registrations. Winners are awarded paperback book collections, purchased by the Friends of the Fountaindale Public Library.

We provide a "Milk & Cookies Story Time" at Panera Bread, 714 E. Boughton Road, in the IKEA mall! Story times are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 9:30 am, from September - May. There is a LIMIT of 25 children. The story times are not held during the summer months, June-August. For more information, please call Marianne Thompson, Outreach Services Manager at 630-685-4231.
