TED2016: Dream Conference Streaming Live at Fountaindale, February 17

Are you interested in this year's TED2016 conference in Vancouver, but can't afford the $8,500 registration fee? Well you're in luck! Fountaindale will be streaming part of the conference live for FREE! Throughout the day on Wednesday, February 17th, you can access four sessions showcasing great thinkers, artists and storytellers from around the country all from the comfort of your library.

Preschool Round-Up, Saturday, February 27

Parents, do you have a child ready to enter preschool? Drop in between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to meet with more than a dozen local preschools and daycare centers all in one place to help you find the right fit for your child. The Will County Health Department will be onsite providing FREE vision and hearing screenings for children AND adults age 3 and up! and several early childhood resource organizations will also be available. Don't miss our prize drawings for teachers, parents and kids! and while you're here, be sure to sign up your child for their very own library card! 

Learn and Earn with our Career Online High School Program

Fountaindale is pleased to announce the opportunity for up to 400 residents to participate in a coordinated skills assessment training program which will provide training and coaching opportunities in the areas such as employment searching, computer/software skills and online navigation. Fountaindale is excited to announce that seventy-five District residents in need who "graduate" our skills assessment will be eligible earn a grant-funded, online opportunity to achieve his or her high school diploma.
