2020 marks our 50th anniversary. To celebrate this momentous occasion, we want to showcase your artwork on our limited-edition, anniversary library cards!

Contest Information:

  • The Library Card Design Contest runs September 1–30, 2019
  • Fountaindale Public Library District residents of all ages can participate
  • Entries will be separated into three categories: ages 12 and under, ages 13–17 and ages 18 and older
  • Winners from each age category will receive a $100 Target gift card; finalists will receive a $25 Target gift card

How to Enter:

  • All entries must be received by Monday, September 30, 2019
  • Download our entry form and design template or pick one up from inside the library or Bookmobile
  • Artwork must be original and free of copyright restrictions
  • All art forms welcome (crayons, pen, colored pencil, paint, digital, etc.)
  • Digital artwork should be 1050 pixels x 639 pixels (3.5” x 2.13”) and must have a resolution of 300 dpi or higher
  • Entries can be submitted at any service desk or the Bookmobile; digital entries can be submitted below
  • Limit one entry per person

Timeline:

  • Monday, September 30: Library card design submission deadline
  • Friday, October 11: Three finalists from each age group announced
  • October 14–28: Online public voting
  • Friday, November 1: Winners announced
  • January 2020: Winners and finalists recognized and awarded prizes
  • January 2020: New library card designs available to the public (while supplies last)
