One of our favorite things about storytime is sharing music! It’s a great way to transition between stories, helps children develop gross and fine motor skills and it’s fun! Singing is also one of the five early literacy practices, along with talking, reading, writing and playing. While at home, you can access lots of great music to share with your children. All you need is your Fountaindale Library card!

The Best of the Laurie Berkner Band by The Laurie Berkner Band

Before she was a staple on Nick Jr., we were playing Laurie Berkner’s songs in storytime! Dance to “Rocketship Run” like we’ve done in Mini Movin’ & Groovin’. Stomp around the house to “We are the Dinosaurs” like we did during DiNovember. And remember when we all shouted “Wait a minute! We’re fish!” in All Together Storytime with Miss Chris? You can find “The Goldfish” on this album, too!
