Powered by Mango Languages (and using the same login info), Little Pim is language education created for children ages 2 to 6. It is a quick, fun and interactive way to introduce them to any or all of ten common languages including Latin American Spanish, Mandarin Chinese and even English!

The lessons consist of three word categories: eating and drinking, wake up smiling and playtime. Each category contains seven videos typically ranging from four to six minutes in length and featuring children interacting with the objects and food they are leaning the words for. The children are entertaining, like the one below, to keep your little learner’s interest piqued. Also featured is Little Pim’s animated panda mascot saying common phrases that children will pick up along the way.

At the end of each episode, a three question interactive quiz is presented in the form of practice cards. They shuffle, say a word or phrase and you pick the corresponding picture. Don’t worry if you pick the wrong answer, it allows you to continue until you get it right. After finishing the practice cards, it moves on to the next episode.

I’ve been saying this is for the little ones, but that doesn’t mean that adults can’t learn a thing or two to kick start their language journey, too! The very simple and straightforward navigation makes Little Pim an easy resource to access for adults and children of all levels of tech savviness, and there is a free app as well! Just grab your library card and sign up to begin a child’s language learning journey!
