If you attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Madam Irma Pince would greet you as you entered the library. She was strict and severe. It was told that she placed odd jinxes and hexes on library books for their protection. For instance, one copy of Theories of Transubstantial Transfiguration was jinxed to hit the reader around the head, should he ever doodle on it. Okay, okay, okay. I promise Fountaindale Library has not jinxed or hexed any of our books, and we invite you in to see what kind of magic you can find.

You don’t have to look hard to be enchanted by what is available to you. Everywhere you turn, from chapter books to non-fiction books (and don’t forget picture books, movies and video games), you are surrounded by something special. There are books about magic and how to do magic. And best of all, some books magically take you to unique places, an adventure through time and space, making new friends and enjoying the journey.

Miss Kathy has been working on some spells to help you find books about magic in the library. Watch and see if this charm will work for you, too.

If you have not yet perfected your “Magical Book Finding Charm,” feel free to ask any of our wonderful staff to help you find something special to take you to your own personal magical place. Here are the books Miss Kathy mentioned and a few others to get you started!
