Our dedicated staff is here to help children develop literacy skills and introduce them to the enjoyment of reading and the world of knowledge. We offer a wide selection of books, audiobooks, movies, music, video games, puppets and puzzles for children to check out to use at home or enjoy while inside the library. We also provide a variety of storytimes, events and resources to ensure every child has access to the tools they need to succeed.
A Place to Grow
In our Children’s Services area, kids are free to be kids. This special space—located on our 1st floor, just to the left of our main entrance—boasts a friendly and encouraging environment meant to stimulate learning, creativity and fun.
Our Children’s Services area also houses a comfort room to nurse or calm children and a family restroom complete with a changing table and child-sized toilet. Familiarize yourself with this area by taking our virtual tour.
Events & Programs
We offer free storytimes and events for babies, toddlers, children and tweens almost every day of the week. With everything from arts & crafts, family movies, STEAM and maker fun, to concerts, reading clubs and adventures for homeschoolers, there is something for every child to enjoy here. Our Bookmobile and Outreach Services staff even host MOPs puppet shows, storytimes and special events around the community. Be sure to start your child’s love of learning today with our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten initiative.

Unattended Children
In accordance with our Unattended Children Policy, children ages 7 years or younger must be accompanied by and in visual contact with a parent or caregiver (ages 14 years or older) at all times, in all areas. During storytimes or events, the adult or responsible person must remain in the library and must return to the program area by the end of the event. We do not have a public phone, so please pre-arrange meeting and pick up times with your child.
