Calling all teens! Have you discovered the Vortex yet? The Vortex is our unique space specifically designed for teens in grades 6–12 to read, study or hang out with friends. You can also play board games and video games, use the computers and study rooms or attend events. If you’re entering sixth grade in the fall or if you just haven’t visited yet, head up to our 2nd floor (past the video games and vinyl records) to visit the space. Vortex Open Houses
We are hosting two open houses for you to learn more about this unique space. Drop in during one of the following sessions for a brief tour provided by our friendly Teen Services staff and to be entered into a drawing for a $10 gift card.
Friday, August 11, 3–5 p.m.
Monday, August 14, 6–8 p.m.
You can also stop by any time to see this space for yourself. We’re open for summer hours through Wednesday, August 16:
Monday–Thursday: 11 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
Friday–Saturday: 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Sunday: noon–5:30 p.m.
