The Fountaindale Public Library District is seeking a collaborative and community-focused specialist to join our Children’s Services team. Our customer service-driven library serves a diverse community of 67,000. Our bustling Children’s Services Department is loved by children and families and offers services, resources and programming for youth from birth through 5th grade. We pride ourselves on connecting children with the library and aim to develop lifelong readers and library users.
The Children’s Services Specialist will provide friendly and knowledgeable reference, readers’ advisory service and technology help at our service desk. The successful candidate will also plan and present innovative programming for children, with special attention to storytime and events for elementary school-aged children and tweens. This position includes daytime, evening and weekend shifts.

The Circulation Manager oversees a busy department of 28 individuals who help serve our patrons by providing amazing customer service at checkout as well as offering services such as license plate sticker renewal, voter registration, and museum passes. You’ll stretch your creativity and skills meeting the goals of Studio 300 and serving our Bolingbrook community.
