Our Children’s Services team is here to help your children develop literacy skills and discover the joy of reading. This special space is located on the library’s 1st floor, just to the left of our main entrance. In our Children’s Services area, kids are free to be kids. We have a friendly and encouraging environment designed to stimulate learning, creativity and fun. We also have a Comfort Room for you to nurse or calm children and a family restroom, complete with a changing table and child-sized toilet.
Check out our Blog to stay up to date on the newest books, services and upcoming events for children. You can subscribe to the blog if you want to get them emailed directly to you (max once a week).

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Start your child’s love of reading and learning today with our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten initiative. Experts recommend children hear at least 1,000 stories before they learn to read. Families who read aloud to their children strengthen their language skills and build their vocabulary.
