Borrowing Materials
We offer a robust collection of physical and digital books, movies, TV shows, video games, magazines, audiobooks, eBooks and more. Simply visit the library or Bookmobile to browse the shelves, or use our catalog to find items to check out.
Pinnacle Library Cooperative—a partnership with Joliet, Lemont, Plainfield, Shorewood-Troy and White Oak libraries—allows patrons to request materials from all six libraries via our online catalog or mobile app and pick them up at our lobby, drive-thru window or Bookmobile. If you can’t find an item in our online catalog, you may request it from a library outside of Pinnacle via interlibrary loan.

Placing Holds
You may place an item on hold when using the online catalog and specify your pickup location (lobby, drive-thru window or Bookmobile). You may experience wait times for new and popular items. If you place a hold on an item that is not available for immediate checkout or is being sent from another Pinnacle library, you may choose to be notified by phone, email or text message when the item is ready for pick up.
Our Circulation team will place the item in our materials pickup shelf located in our lobby unless you designated your hold to be picked up on the Bookmobile or at the drive-thru window. If picking up your holds from the drive-thru window, please call 630.759.2102 at least 15 minutes ahead of your arrival to ensure your materials are ready.
Renewing Materials
If your item is eligible for renewal and no one else is waiting for it, we will automatically renew it for you up to two times. If you wish to renew an item prior to the automatic renewal date, log in to your account or contact us at 630.759.2102 or help@fountaindale.org to manually renew your materials.
