In order to help protect our patrons and staff, and in adherence with the state of Illinois’ phase 4 meeting room guidelines, we ask that you please adhere to the following requirements when visiting our building:
Wear a face covering or mask at all times
Maintain social distancing of at least six feet apart
Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer often
Staff will wipe down furniture and equipment with disinfectant between groups
Reduced capacities and availability for meeting spaces—see below for more details
Our study rooms are perfect for people to meet and work on collaborative projects. We have spaces for children, teens and adults throughout the building. Our 3rd Floor Study Rooms may be reserved in advanced by calling our 3rd Floor Service Desk at 630.685.4176. Please read our Study Room Policy before visiting.
3rd Floor Study Rooms
Capacity: Two people Two-hour time limit.
3rd Floor Study Rooms are intended for patrons 5th grade and up. A library card in good standing is required to use the room. Patrons may call ahead at 630.685.4176 to reserve a study room.
Children Study Nooks
Capacity: 1–4 people
Study nooks in Children’s Services are first come, first served and intended for children, families and tutors.
Teen Study Rooms
Capacity: 1–6 people
Teen study rooms are limited to patrons in grades 6–12. A library card or school ID for each person in the room is required. One-hour time limit.
Other study spaces are available throughout the building, including our Quiet Reading Room and Quiet Study Room on the 3rd floor and study tables on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Need a computer to get your work done? Chromebooks are available for free to use throughout the library. Visit the 3rd Floor Service Desk, the Vortex and Children’s Services to borrow a Chromebook today!
