Stargazing Comes to Fountaindale!Studio 300 has now added the Celestron Nexstar 130SLT telescope, which is made available for checkout. This telescope is a computerized 5-inch aperture telescope. It is driven by Celestron’s SkyAlign program that can take you on a tour of over 40,000 celestial objects in their database.

We have also added a good selection of accessories to check out, along with the telescope. Whether you want to add filters or connect cameras or even your cellphone, we have the right accessory for you.

To be ready to check out this telescope, you’ll need to start by taking Studio 300’s Orientation. This 15-minute course will take you through Studio 300’s policies and give you access to check out not only the telescope but also the wide variety of equipment available for checkout. While the NexStar 130 SLT is considered an entry-level telescope, it does have a learning curve for setting up and aligning the telescope properly to take advantage of the SkyAlign features. While the learning may seem daunting, there are many resources available to get you started.
