Why Do I Need a Special Filter?

A solar eclipse filter is required to safely observe and photograph an eclipse. The filter blocks harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation, allowing you to capture each moment safely and confidently. Additionally, the filter provides an exposure reduction of 16.5 stops. This restricts light without impacting the image’s color, sharpness or contrast.
