Getting a Library Card is Easier than Ever
Fountaindale Public Library cards are available free of charge to residents who live within our district boundaries. You can now apply online for a library card by simply clicking one of the buttons below and then completing the short form. If approved, you will be emailed a new digital library card in minutes. If you already have a Fountaindale Library card, you will receive an email reminding you of your barcode and PIN.
Be sure to download our mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to access your digital library card from your phone. With our app, you can place items on hold, access your account and even check out materials right from our shelves!
Not sure if you live in our district? Enter your address on the map below to find out. Please note, if you do not live in our district, you may be eligible to receive a library card from one of our other local Pinnacle libraries.
Please note, this map is an approximation of our district boundaries. Your tax bill ultimately defines your residency within our district. If you have a tax bill for your home, simply look to see if it lists Fountaindale Public Library District (Foun Pub Lib Dist). For questions about your tax bill and residency, please contact the Will County Clerk at 815.740.4615 or the DuPage County Election Commission at 630.407.5600. The Will County Supervisor of Assessments also offers a property search that shows if Fountaindale Public Library is included in your taxing bodies.
Get a Library Card in Person
If you prefer to have a physical library card, you can apply for one in person at the 1st Floor Information Desk or the Bookmobile. Common forms of ID:
- Driver’s License, Permit or State ID
- Current or Last Month Bill (Cable TV, Utility, Credit Card, Etc.)
- Tax Bill

Save time by completing the application prior to your visit. Residents under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the time of application.
Residents may also apply for a temporary library card online. Your temporary card number can be used to place holds on items, but you must complete the registration process as stated above in order to check out items, register for events and enjoy the full benefits of your new library card.
