Did you know that the Bookmobile is a full-service mobile branch of our library that provides scheduled stops around the community at convenient locations such as Target, IKEA, Best Buy and The Promenade? At our Bookmobile, you can:

  • Sign up for a library card.
  • Check out popular materials for all ages, including regular and large print books, audiobooks, movies and video games.
  • Check out memory care kits, Wi-Fi hotspots and Rokus.
  • Speak with an outreach staff member to get reading recommendations, reference services and more.
  • Return and renew library materials.
  • Pick up your holds.

Also, every month we provide a different program on the Bookmobile. So make sure you join us this spring for activities and prizes for the whole family. We hope to see you soon on the Bookmobile!

What’s Happening on the Bookmobile This Spring?

Calling All Scientists! We’re holding a drawing for a water testing kit in honor of World Water Day, a day dedicated to drawing attention to water-related issues. Visit the Bookmobile any time in March to enter this giveaway for a kit that includes four family-friendly activities and explores the process of scientific investigation. We will contact the winner in early April. And don’t forget to pick up a reusable water bottle while you’re on the Bookmobile, while supplies last.

National Poetry Month is here! The Bookmobile has a magnetic poetry board to create your own poem. If you like, take a picture of your creation and share it with your family and friends. You can also pick up a Haiku Hike activity sheet and check out our poetry book display.

Who doesn’t love those sweet chocolate chip morsels? Did you know that chocolate chips have their own special day? It’s Monday, May 15! In celebration of the delightful chocolate chip, join us at any of our Bookmobile community stops this May for a free chocolate chip cookie, while supplies last. We’ll also have cookbooks for you to check out on the Bookmobile, and you can browse our digital collection of cooking magazines to explore ways to create your own sweet treat.
