If you’re a fan of the wizarding world, then you’re familiar with butterbeer—a creamy, delicious drink that will warm you from the inside out. In preparation of our Yule Ball at Home on Saturday, December 12, we wanted to share a few delicious butterbeer recipes (including a low-sugar option) with you so you can enjoy a cozy night in while enjoying festive music from Tonks and the Aurors and Ashley Hamel.


Butterbeer Recipe

Servings: 6

Soda Ingredients:
  • 2 Liter of Cream Soda (or about six 12 fl. oz. cans)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Caramel Extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Butter Extract
Whipped Cream Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 cup Butterscotch Topping
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
Directions:
  • In a large bowl, mix the heavy whipping cream for about five minutes until stiff peaks form.
  • Add butterscotch topping and powdered sugar; mix until incorporated.
  • Pour cream soda into a glass. Mix in the caramel and butter extracts.
  • Top with whipped cream and enjoy!

 

Low-Sugar Butterbeer Recipe:

Servings: 6

Soda Ingredients:
  • 2 liters Diet Cream Soda (or about six 12 fl. oz. cans)
  • 1/4 tsp. Caramel Extract
  • 1/4 tsp. Butter Extract
Whipped Cream Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Free Butterscotch syrup
  • 1 tbsp. Powdered Erythritol Sweetener
Directions:
  • In a large bowl, mix the heavy whipping cream for about five minutes until stiff peaks form.
  • Add sugar-free butterscotch syrup and powdered erythritol; mix until incorporated.
  • Pour diet cream soda into a glass. Mix in the caramel and butter extracts.
  • Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
