We’re introducing something brand new to our YA collection—Babysitting Kits! These kits are designed to assist young babysitters and include a selection of books, games and toys, as well as additional resources for guidance and aid. We have six kits in total, each geared towards a specific age group (Baby, Toddler, Pre-K–Grade 2 and Grades 3–5). These kits come in a clear backpack for easy transport and include a list of contents to help you when packing up the kit.

A clear backpack on a table contains various children's books, colorful toys, and learning materials, with bookshelves in the blurred background. Six clear backpacks containing books and materials are displayed on white shelves, each with a colorful “Don’t Sit On The Baby” sign attached to the front.

All the kits include a babysitting guide, Don’t Sit on the Baby!: The Ultimate Guide to Sane, Skilled and Safe Babysitting by Halley Bondy, which offers useful tips on everything from finding jobs to keeping you and your charges safe.

The kits can be found in the Vortex, our 2nd floor teen space, near the new YA fiction collection. Check one out with your library card today!
