The American Revolution Experience Traveling Exhibit (August 4–15)

It will introduce you to a cast of historical characters with diverse experiences throughout the conflict and the places they visited on their journey, highlighting the stories of:

  • Winsor Fry: former slave fighting as a patriot and navigating life in a new nation
  • Thayendanegea: a Mohawk leader aligned with the British
  • Sarah Osborn Benjamin: supporting the patriot frontlines during the American Revolution
  • Stephen Tainter: a teenage patriot who served as a drummer boy for the newly formed United States Army

This national traveling exhibition, developed by the American Battlefield Trust, is geared toward fifth graders and older. It was made available to our library with support from the National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Isle a la Cache Chapter, NSDAR.

If you can’t attend in person, we encourage you to experience this exhibit virtually.
