I’ve been browsing our shelves and digital collection to discover exciting movies and TV shows to share with you. I recently watched Nomadland, the 2021 Academy Award-winner for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress (Frances McDormand). The film, based on the 2017 novel by Jessica Bruder, follows a woman in her 60s who, after losing everything in the Great Recession, embarks on a journey through the American West, living as a van-dwelling modern-day nomad.
