Patricia Campbell lives a pretty ordinary life. She’s a wife and a stay-at-home mom and occasionally contemplate taking up knitting in an effort to add some spice to her days. She does, however, have one thing to look forward to every month. She has a book club with the other mom’s in the neighborhood where they discuss true crime and horror novels.

When a mysterious neighbor, James Harris, moves to town, Patricia quickly becomes smitten. James is charming, handsome, and best of all, he actually seems to care about Patricia’s thoughts, feelings and opinions. However, when mysterious things start happening in her neighborhood, Patricia quickly starts to wonder if her new neighbor is one of the monsters straight out of one of her horror novels.
