Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us from Tuesday, September 15 through Thursday, October 15. We have an exciting lineup of fun events and activities for adults, teens and children! Join us as we celebrate this rich culture! These events will be presented in English.

Take-It Make-It Kit: Fiesta Star
Tuesday, September 15
Visit the 3rd Floor Service Desk to pick up your craft kit, while supplies last. One craft per adult. You must be present to receive the kit.

Film Studies: Mexico
Tuesday, September 15, 7–8 p.m.
Get a crash course highlighting Mexico’s golden era of films, including the films produced and the actors who made an impact. We’ll then look at the current state of Mexico’s cinema and discuss its crossover with Hollywood. Drop in.

Monarch Butterfly Mask Workshop
Thursday, October 1, 6 p.m.
Artist Emanuel Zarate from Patibulario Art & Craft will show you how to create and paint a captivating cardboard monarch butterfly mask adorned with your choice of vibrant neon colors. Watch as your creation comes to life under black light, producing a stunning and mesmerizing effect. Registration opens September 10.

Día de los Muertos Skulls
Wednesday, October 14, 6–8 p.m.
Día de los Muertos skulls (calaveras) are vibrant, symbolic representations of departed loved ones used to honor the deceased. Join us for a fun drop-in craft and create your own unique design, while supplies last. Please allow at least 30 minutes to complete your item. Drop in.
