Commentary

One thing to get out of the way: this is a completely different canon than Sabrina: The Teenage Witch that aired in the 90s and early 2000s. It’s not better or worse for it, it’s just that—different.

While I’m not normally into spooky stuff, I really enjoy The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina produced by Netflix. It has just the right blend of spoop, comedy and serious moments.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has good pacing as well; I never found myself wondering when a scene would be over already and get to the action. The story definitely keeps moving.

But what really keeps me coming back season after season is the cast! The acting of its diverse cast is excellent—I feel what they feel. Out of all the characters, just like in the old Sabrina with Melissa Joan Hart, Aunt Hilda is my favorite! She’s goofy, sensible when necessary and overall very lovable.

If you love magic, laughing and being scared, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina may be the pick for you!
